HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS:
One of the highlights of the Rosh Hashonah holiday will be the open
house at which Rabbi and Mrs. Milton Rosenbaum will be hosts to all
members of Beth-El Congregation at their home, 3008 Greene, this Saturday
afternoon, the 20th, from 3 p. m. to 5 p. m.
The past week has been an exciting and thrilling one for our town —
the dedication ceremonies of Ahahath Sholom were impressively beautiful
and not only its congregation, but our entire community can well be proud
of this magnificient edifice.
Sunday morning, Bess and Meyer Mehl and Frances and Abe Goldstein
were hosts at another in their series of brunches at Western Hills and that
afternoon, Gertrude and Bennie Rubin greeted several hundred guests at
a Cocktail Supper celebrating their Silver wedding annivrsary in the Crystal
Ballroom of the Texas Hotel, which without a doubt was one of the most
jnagnificent affairs ever held in Fort Worth. '
And of course, Tuesday oficially marked the opening of the club season
with Hadassah holding its luncheon meeting at the Synagogue with Madlyn
Barnett presiding.
NEWS AND NOTES:
Estelle and Jimmy Goldberg just back
from the national Southland Life Con-
vention at Hotel Del Coronado at
Coronado, Calif., are now planning a
trip to Chicago in early October with
Doris and Bill Blum. Added to the
list of youngsters attending nursery
school at Mrs. Massey’s are Craig
Lidell and Beverly Rene Rosenthal.
Bayla and Harvey Biskin spent a
week with their folks, the Sam Shein-
bergs enroute to their home in San
Antonio. Harvey is a timpanist with
the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra,
while Bayla, an accomplished pianist
was the accompanist for Mrs. Louis
