Obituary
David R. Smith
David R. Smith passed away Sunday, Jan. 13,2013, in Fort
Worth. A funeral mass was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan.
16,2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Graham. Interment
16,2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Chun
was in Winn Hill Cemetery in Jack County. Family visitation
was from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral
Home.
David was bom July 17,1942, in Chico, and was a long time
resident of Graham. He was a member of the Knights of Co-
lumbus, a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Graham, a
life member of the National Rifle Association, a little league
baseball coach for many years and a major supporter of 4-H
and FFA. He was a small business owner and a farmer and
rancher.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Smith of Graham; five
sons, Christopher David Smith and wife Beverly of Graham,
Jeffrey Allen Smith and wife Misty of Graham, Michael Ray
Smith and wife Brenda of Jacks boro, Louis Scott Smith of
Graham, and Patrick Shane Smith and wife Stormy of Chilli-
cothe; daughter, Shelly Kay Walls and husband Bryan of
Graham; brother, John Paul Smith of Loving; sister, Ruby
Bernice Clay and husband Charlie of Jacksboro; 15 grand-
children; and six great grandchildren. David was preceded
in death by his parents, Daniel Robert and Ruby Vera Smith
