MMMMM
GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES! They did, with a roar-from the engines and from
the capacity crowd at Jack Cannon's 105 Speedway over Memorial Day weekend--and you missed
it! Well, mark it down-Labor Day Weekend is going to be bigger, with all classes racing and
thousands attending. Racers qualify on Friday night, with the feature races taking place on Satur-
day evening at 7:00 pm. It's a great, inexpensive outing for the entire family. Pack a cooler or
visit the concession stand and plan on spending the weekend at one of our area's greatest attrac-
tions. The track is located off 105 West on Fostoria Road. Just follow the sound of rumbling
engines! For you Internet fans, visit their website at www://l 05speedway.com. Be sure to check
the Paperboy every week for race results and coverage, as well as photos of your favorite drivers.
THE FUTURE MEETS THEIR HERITAGE as officers of Cleveland s Future
Farmers of American, FFA, accept the gift of an American Flag and a Texas Flag
from officers of Cherry-Gibson American Legion Post #393 and Ladies’ Auxiliary
Unit #393. The FFA has had to borrow flags whenever they were needed for their
many displays and shows. The American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary were quick
to donate the flags when they learned of the need. From L-R, the smiling faces
belong to Jayson Hill, FFA President; Ray Porter, Commander; Steven Smith, FFA
Vice-President; Cory Gates, FFA Secretary; Chuck Foster, Service Officer; Ida
Foster, Junior V-P of Ladies Auxiliary; Lucky DeMoss, FFA Student Advisor; and
Ben Cook, 1st VP of Post .. M
