LOOKING GOOD - If you don't recognize the location, this is the site of the metal
salvage yard on N. Washington near the prison that for years was one big junk pile.
The location is under new ownership of Diamond S. Express Inc., Mark Dibble,
manager. The company has been in business for 19 years,; beginning with three trucks
|nd now has grown to 25 trucks, specializing in freight. The company has cleaned
Sffthe property, doing their part in beautifying Cleveland. Congrats to you folks.

A NEW CITIZEN OF THE U.S. - Violet Millard, a resident at Woodland park in Shepherd, took
her citizenship oath, April 1. Administering the oath was Walter Schmidt, District Administration
Officer for Houston District U.S. Immigration. The U.S. District Court gave special permission for
this oath to be administered at the nursing home. Ms. Millard come to the U.S. in 1950. She lived
with her sister in Cleveland, Mrs. Poppy Peebles, until about a year and a half ago. She was a supply
packer in both wars and also a housewife before her retirement. She is a native of Newqay Cornwall,
