We congratulate Joe and Lucille
Humphries for finding the Pot O’
Cold hidden in the facility. Colleen
Telford from the laundry depart-
ment made up the dues in Irish
rhyme. Copies were given to all the
residents. Lucille in her generous
nature shared their bounty of cho-
colate coins with the residents and
staff. St. Patrick's Day was full of
fun as several residents were wait-
ing for the staff who came to work
with out their green.
The residents have been busy
making candy floral arrangements
to sell at the booth we are having at
the park during the St. Patty’s Day
Celebration. Kent Bridge’s aunt
Gladys Thorton donated a quilt she
hand pieced and quilted we will be
selling chances to. Also we will
have baked goods to sell. All
proceeds will benefit the activity
fund for the residents so be sure to
stop by our booth.
We had some really good singing
and church services last week. The
Methodist Church singers joined the
residents Monday afternoon. The
First Baptist led a good message
later in the afternoon. Father Baker
was with us Tuesday morning. The
Church of Christ members brought
Wednesday morning service and the
volunteers encouraged the residents
to sing in the afternoon sing-a-long.
Bible Study was brought by Doris
Hammit. The Park Street Baptist
Church was in charge of Sunday’s
services.
Other activities included Bingo
with Shirley LaBaume, exercise
classes, current events and donut
socials.
We welcome Laveme Kennedy to
our family of residents, and wel-
come back Flota Robbins from the
hospital.
Our thoughts are with the family
of Mary Hoover as we regret to
report the loss of their loved one.
