Howdy, Folks Fast Monday
word was received from Benavides
that little Bill Gray, spn of Mr. &
Mrs Jack Gray, and grandson of
Mr and Mrs Hamp Hardy of Cor-
dele, had drowned in a salt water
pit. Efforts to revive the boy were
futile Burial was in a cemetery in
that locality. Our sympathies to to
his relatives & friends.
R. D. Logan has returned to his
home on the Ivan Fenner farm
from a trip to Fort Worth to at-
tend the funeral of his father who
passed away in that city. He had
a good philosophy of life: “Be
what you are, but be it good ”
Commissioner Paul Sablatura of
Wharton County & our Commis -
sioner Steve Sablatura of Ganado,
were in Cordele looking about the
new black top that they are put-
ting through part of his precinct
as well as in Wharton County re-
cently.
Mr. & Mrs. J K. Budd and fam-
ily of Cordele- recently spent the our candidate doesn’t get
weekend in Freer visiting her we haven't lost a vote

family lived here, but left 40 odd
