Mack Taylor
Receives
Recognition
Hack Taylor of Timpson
recently received noti-
fication along with a
bronze plaque from the
Tgxas Funeral Directors
Association. Inc.in rec-
ognition of his fifty
years service to his
profession.
Mr.Taylor, a 1931 grad-
uate of Timpson High
School, came from the
Concord Community in
Rusk County where he
grew up after his birth
in fcrnsm. Nr. Trior's
parents were the late
Dr. David Mcknight Tay-
lor and Ada Garrison
Rainbolt Taylor, pion-
eering East Texas fam-
ilies. Mr. Taylor is a
graduate of the Landlg
College of Mortuary
Science in Houston
where he completed his
course of study for the
Funeral Directors li-
cense September 10,
1935. He earned and was
granted the Texas Ero-
balmers license from
Linoig College and the
State of Texas In 1938.
Mr. Taylor was marrted
to the late Evie Ruth
Burns Taylor and has 2
sons: Albert Mack Tay-
lor of Snyder, Texas,
and Dene Burns Taylor
of Houston, Texas, and
two grandchildren, Al-
bert Alexander (Alex)
Taylor and d'Arceyanne
Taylor.
Mr. Taylor's relatives
and friends congratu-
late him on this honor
as he has certainly de-
served to be known as
one of Timpson's most
loved and respected re-
sidents. Mack, as all
his friends call him,
has been associated
with Taylor Funeral
Hone and the W.A. Tay-
lor Estate for over 50
years, and is currently
enjoying his retire-
ment as a private mer-
chant. Nr.Taylor serves
on the Board of Direc-
tors of the First State
Bank, Timpson. and is
Board Chairman of the
Timpson Housing Auth-
ority. Too. he has long
been an active support-
er of the Boy Scouts of
America.

Timpson city Council
meets each month on the
3rd Tuesday at 5:00PM,
Timpson city hall this
meeting is always open
to the public. Notice
is posted in advance if*
there is a change in
time or date in the
meeting.
Timpson has interested
people in this City it
is opr home and w» are
proud, this was '^fleet-
ed at election time
when 8 canidates ran
for 3 openings on the
city ballot and Q can-
idates for 3 open-
ing on the school
board.
The city has no bond
Indebtedness and
hasn't for several
years. Street paving
was done recently with-
out a bond election.
The fire plugs have
been replaced and much
nwfeflclean up is taking
place. The present city
councilmer are doing a
very good Job as elected
officals.
Ambulance Runs
There was 1 ambulance
run from. June 18 until
June 24. Those making
the run were Austin
Thacker, Sue Castle-
berry. Tim Magness, Jim
Nix, and Ozay Ford.
Donations were given by
the First State Bank,
and Mrs. Clyde Bussey.
The following donations
were made in memory of
Harold Crump - Scotty
Rhodes.Leona Mhlsenant.
Jerri and Rob Strahan,
Bobbie and Travis Clay,
and Frances and Ben
Bams.
