Review of Season Results in Mcl'ans'
Picking the All-Star Team K* '

(By R. B. IVJcCans)
The few months that I assisted tho
basketball team of Texas Woman's col.
lege proved to me beyond all doubt
that girls' athletics is a requisite to
any first class college. Before the
dawn of another school year there will
be organized throughout the colleges
and universities of Texas an athletic-
association similar to the T. I. A A..
tti encourage the formation of such a
club.
I will briefly review the fast closirg
season and attempt to pick the six ! demanding and charm. There was a
delicacy and finesse, peculiarly at

Heard in Recital.
On Monday evening, March we
enjoyed a most delightful treat in
the form of a musical by Miss Gyp-
sey Sullivan and Miss Sallie Belle
Matthews.
Miss Sullivan has a voice of un-
usual volume and range, which show-
ed to special advantage in "Samson
»•••<! Deliah." It was equally attrac-
tive in the Indian love lyric which
she sang with marked feeling, giving
her audience the oriental atmosphere
of the music.
The playing of Miss Matthews was
both interesting and artistic Equip-
ped with a splendid technic, she intei
preted each number with musical 1111-

A MONUMENT TO PROFESSOR:

From I'lainview comes the proposal^
that former students of the late Pro-

The enterprise was conceived and is
being directed by Mr. Herbert S. Hil-

College. Since his graduation Mr ;

Almost the only motive that should
