NOTES
Although nothing of special notice
has occurred since the last write up,
the S. M. K.'s are by no means idle.
They are working hard and expect
to give you a very pleasant surprise
before so very long.
The attendance this term . is .'un-
usually good and overyo.- e seems to
be taking a new hold. The program
committee is making it very inter,
esting indeed by having the novel,
"Mary Carey" read as a serial story
at the conclusion of each program.
Gem Cowling makes the story all the
more interesting aril vivid by her
wonderful capability, as a reader.
Resides this serial story, at the last
meeting, a paper was read by lln/.ie
Davis oil "A memorial of Lincoln."
Alice 1 shelf g)ive a splendid reading
and Erma Hill entertained with a
piano solo. In addition to all this, j
the society was honored by a visit
from Mrs. Furr, an old S. M. K,, and i
her daughter, Sadie. Miss Sadie dis-
played most wonderful talent, when <
she consented to give a reading and 1
coral solo. Mrs Farr made the mem-
bers "want to do Something worth i
while" by tellirg then, about the "old
days." The society is always glad
to have its old members visit it any
t ime.
The following program will tie ren-j
