THURSDAY ALREADY
.IN TENAHA by Tom Reader
Congratulations Jason!
“REDE OF A LIFETIME”— Karen Reader is pictured entering the
driver’s seat of Tony Stewart’s Winston Cup race car. She attended
the Team Texas High Performance Driving School Sunday, Jan.
25th. After the class room instruction, she drove the #20 vehicle 10
laps around the race track at speeds up to 150 mph. Each student
has an instructor in the right hand seat to make sure the ride is as
safe as possible. There were nine other vehicles on the track at the
same time. At the end of the afternoon, Karen was strapped in the
passenger side of the vehicle. The instructor gave the students a
thrill as each was treated to an actual race situation reaching speeds
up to 160 mph. Happy Birthday Karen!!
Wow! Serious rain
Saturday in our city. Karen &
I were moving into our new
apartment in Nacogdoches.
Got a little wet but not too bad.
Just about have it ready to live
in - will finish up next Saturday.
We really enjoyed Karen’s
birthday Sunday. She got to
drive and ride in a Winston
Cup Race Car. Something she
has dreamed of. We picked up
her son in Grandview, Texas
and spent the day at the race
track on the other side of Ft.
Worth. It was a real thrill for
her and I want to wish her a
happy birthday.
Well, time to say goodbye
to our city and the T& T News.
We will be around but job
duties put us in Nacogdoches
and Lufkin most of the time. We
will miss uou all and hope
maybe we have provided some
interesting sories and good
coverage on events taking place
in Tenaha. So, see you later and
may God bless you all!
The Tenaha Heritage Society will
present the 118th Birthday
celebration of Tenaha as a town.
Come and enjoy as scenes of the
past are unwrapped.

Thank You
To the good Samaritans who cleaned up CR 4854 in Wedgeworth
Community, THANKS. To those who are littering our road, if you
have no more respect than to throw your trash out and make our
roadside area a horrible eyesore, then it would probably do just as
well to let it stay in your CAR or TRUCK! (Oh, I caught the good
Samaritans, their truck had RAMSEY CONSTRUCTION on the
side - BUT I ONLY SAW FEMALES) Thanks, Kathy, Katy and
April.

Maintenance.
Sometimes we take better care of our cars than we do
our health. We change the oil The fliers. The tires. We
have brake jobs and. tune-ups. And yet, we neglect our
own bodies and our health. We ignore warning signs.
Signs that just might save our life. Why?...if we ignore
the warn ing signs, surely they 'll go away. And-yet, our
bodies sometimes need tune-ups, too. Take care of
