wedding vows in a ceremony at 2
p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Echo Ex-
ecutive Lodge in Sulphur Springs.
Given in marriage by her father,
Raymond C. Petty Sr. of Picktori,
the bride chose a white off-the-
shoulder mermaid-style gown. The
ensemble was complemented by a
white, floral-print veil. She carried
a bouquet of peach and ivory roses.
Saundra E. Petty, sister of the
bride, served as maid of honor. She
wore a tea-length strapless gown of
ivory lace and carried two peach
roses.

‘Engagement
(Announcement
Bo and Linda Culp of Alba
announce the engagement and
upcoming wedding of their
daughter, Lisa Gayle Culp, to
Michael Dewayne Howie, son
of Bill and Linda Earn heart of
Yantis. The couple will wed at
8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. II, at
rirst Baptist Church in Yantis.
Friends and relatives are in-
vited to attend.
Serving as bridesmaids were Vic-
toria Petty and Tiffany Petty, sisters
of the bride, and Nina Johnson,
friend of the bride, of Kilgore. The
bridal attendants wore knee-length
strapless gowns of peach fabric.
They carried peach and ivory long-
stemmed roses.
The groom wore a black tuxedo
with tails with a white cummer-
bund and bow tic.
Timothy Zazulak served as best
man. Serving as groomsmen were
Michael Cooks and Darren Cooks,
brothers of the groom, and Vaughn
Swann, friend of the groom. They
wore black tuxedos with peach
cummerbunds and bow ties. Peach
roses served as boutonnieres.
The bride’s father wore a white
tuxedo with tails and a peach rose
boutonniere.
Leamcttc Petty, mother of the
bride, wore a Middle Eastern-style
dress of ocean blue and ivory. She
was escorted by Raymond C. Petty
Jr., brother of the bride. He wore a
white tuxedo with tails and peach
cummerbund and bow tie.
Betty Cooks, mother of the
groom, wore an ivory two-piece
suit. She was escorted by Chris-
topher Cooks, brother of the
groom. He wore a black tuxedo
with a peach bow tic and cummer-
bund.
Antone Cooks, father of the
groom, gave the end prayer. He
wore a white tuxedo with tails and
a peach bow tic and cummerbund.
A reception followed the
ceremony in the ballroom of Echo
Executive Lodge.
The bride’s table was adorned in
peach and ivory, the bride’s chosen
colors. The bride’s cake was a six-
layer confection with white frost-
ing. It was embellished by peach
icing roses. The table also held a
bowl of peach punch.
The groom’s table featured a
traditional two-layer chocolate
cake.
At the end of the reception, the
entire wedding party danced to the
“The First Time I Loved Forever,”
the theme from “Beauty and the
Beast.”
Following a honeymoon trip, the
couple will reside in Tyler.

they are brought to The News-Telegram within six weeks after the
wedding^ A good 5x7 or 8x 10 portrait of the couple or bride is per-
fected. Photographs submitted after the six week deadline will not be
published, and the wedding announcement may be shortened Poor
quality photographs cannot be used.
Ail wedding photographs are kept on file in the newsroom, where
they may be picked up the Monday after publication Photos must be
reclaimed within throe weeks after publication. Out of jown photos
must be accompanied with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
