ington Senators is shown announcing a nine-man trade
with the Boston Red Sox which sent baseman Mickey
Vernon, pitcher Bob Porterfield, southpaw pitcher John-

In exchange, the Senators acquired pitchers Dick Brodo-

Crash In Spain
First Lt. Bernard Raymond Har-
rison Jr., U. S. Marine Corps, has
been reported missing as the results
of an aircraft crash In the moun-
tains near Tortosa, Spain, on Wed-
nesday November 7, his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Bernard R. Harrison of
Alma were notified today by the
commadant of (he United States
Marine Corps.
Harrison is 25 years of age and
entered the service in 1950.
The commandant’s telegram stat-
ed that every effort is being made
to locate Harrison and his parents
would be notified when he is located.

lineman for the Ennis Lions, is
now a coach on a service team in
Germany.
Essary, who attended Hardin-
Simmons University in Abilene
following his graduation from En-
nis High, is assistant Coach of the
Chinon Engineer Depot Red Devils.

The Red Devils have won four
