FOR THE FAMILY-/
ITEM: If you order a chicken
burger, it must be 100 per cent
chicken, according to U.S. De-
partment of Agriculture stand-
ards. Chicken Chop Suey must
contain at least four per cent
chicken and Chili Con Came
must have at least 35 per cent
beef and not more than 15 per
cent fat, according to standards.
! ♦ * •
ITEM: A family with mother
working outside the home is 18
per cent more likely to use
frozen main courses than is the
family where mother is a full-
time homemaker.
* • *
ITEM: Rotary mowers take a
lot of the work out of the task
of caring for your lawn, but
mowers are dangerous. Check
your lawn for debris before mow-
ing. Use a mower that is shield-
ed down well toward the ground
and remember that the whirling
knife-edge blade of the mower
is dangerous.
* * ♦
ITEM: Prepare and follow a
shopping, list and resist impulse
buying and you will stay within
your food budget. Know food
prices well enough so that you
can take advantage of specials
that suit your family. Check
weekly specials before you go to
the store and buy only what you
can conveniently store and use
ITEM: New additions to your
foliage plant collection are al-
ways welcome. Many clay-potted
foliage plants, such as the an-
thurium, aphelandra and fitton-
