' SUBSCRIPTION. Three Dollars per Volume cf filty-two numbers if paid
r?n advance or within one month from the time of subscribing or Four Dollars
cf not thus ji aid in advance.
ADVERTISING. Advertisements will be inserted at One Dollar per square
of seven lines or less for the first insertion and fifty cents lor each continuance.
One-half these charges will be made to those who advertise by the year with the
privilege tcfchnnging quarterly.
Business Cards of not more than one square will be inserted for ten dollars
pcr annum.
Announcements of Candidates for Office nnd all political personal and buii-
mess Communications promotive of individual interests will be charged as Ad-
vertisements. All Advcrtisomenta the publication of which is required by la.w must be paid
for in advance.
v The twenty-second section of the law regulating fees of office provides that in
all cases where a citation or other process is required to be served by publication
in a newspaper the officer whose duty it may be to make such service shall be
furnished with the printers' fee for such publication before he shall be required
to have such service made.
The first section ol the act of February 5 1811 regulating the sale of runaway
slaves provides also that where any slave is committed to jail as a runaway a
.notice of the apprehension and commitment with a fulljdescription of such slave
.ihall be published weekly in one of the papers at the Seat of Government for the
pace of one month nnd printed copies thereof furnished to the Clerk 'of the Coun-
ty Court of the county where the commitment shall haVe been made.
Advertisements not marked with the time for which they are lo be published
will be continued until forbid anci charged accordingly.
Subscribers Advertisers and Agents may remit money at our risk and expense.
All communications must be addressed lo the Publishers postpaid.
