Min Anne Marie Seifert and
Mr. John Courtenay Koontz
with Rev. Robert Silverman
of St. Piui Catholic Church
officiating.
Parenu of the couple are
Mr. and Mrs. John Seifert
of Hondo and Mr. and Mrs.
Jasper Koontz of Fort Sum-
ner, New Mexico.
Baskets filled with white
gladiolas, red carnations,
yellow mums, white daisies,
clouds of baby's breath and
ivy highlighted the altar dec-
orations; Two flanking can-
delabra! holding tall white
tapers entwined with ivy
stood behind the baskets. In-
dividual hurricane lamps
with candles and entwined
with ivy lined the church
isle; white bows marked the
pews. Traditional wedding
musich was played by Augie
Rothe.
The bride given in mar-
riage by her father, wore a
full-length formal gown of
white chiffon and re-embroid-
ered bridal Illusion which
was appliqued in the front
and in scallops around the
bottom of the gown over
bridal satin. Tiny buttons ac-
cented the back of her dress,
which was full and fell into
chapel-length train. Re-
embroidered bridal illusion
covered the bodice wliich
ended in scallops and was
beaded with seed pearls.
The high neckline was divid-
ed in front and also accented
with seed pearls. Her finger-
tip veil of bridal illusion fell
from a juliet cap also beaded
with seed pearls. She car-
ried a bouquet of white roses
accented with tiny red roses,
baby's breath and ivy stream-
ers.
Attending her sister as
maid of honor was Becky
Seifert of Hondo. Brides-
maids were Judy Zerr, Gail
Wilson and Peggy Wilson of
Hondo, and Susan Seifert,
die bride's sister of Dallas,
They wore identical full-
length gowns of navy and
white floral crepe in an old
fashioned design with white
eyelet lace on ruffles at the
rounded yokeline, the bot-
tom of their full skirts and
elbow-length sleeves. Long
sashes accented the waist-
lines. They wore large
white picture fiats with red
ribbons and carried white
baskets filled with yellow
and white daisies, red car-
nations, ivy and baby's
breath.
Jim Koontz of Fort Sum-
ner, New Mexico served Ms
brotlier as best man. Grooms-
men were Glenn Garrison and
Pat Seifert, a brother of the
bride of Hondo; David Krog-
dahl of Alberqueque, New
Mexico; and Bruce Bixby of
Fort Sumner.

Ushers were Rick Perry of
Hashell, Bob Sheperd of
Hillsboro, Glen Hanoker and
Gary Puckett of Fort Stock-
ton and John Michael Seifert,
brother of the bride of Ste-
phenville.
Following the ceremony
a garden reception was given
by Mr. and Mrs. John Seifert
at their home. The bride's
table, laid with a white lace
cloth over a cMffon skirt,
held a candelabra of white
gladiolas, red carnations,
yellow mums, fem and wMte
tapers. A four-tiered wedding
cake trimmed with yellow
mums, red carnations, white
roses and topped with an ar-
rangement of the same flow-
ers; pink party punch in sil-
ver also graced the table.
Red and white rose-shaped
mints and assorted nuts were
also served.
The groom's table held
an arrangement of flowers
around a tall red candle, and
a cake which was decorated
with "Texas A&.M" in frosting.
Champagne was served to
the guests from another table.
Members of the housepar-
ty were Misses Marcy Garri-
son, Shauna White and Cora
Gilliam of Hondo, Phillys
Fletcher of Eagle Pass, El-
len Rothe of D'Hanis, Diane
Langhomer of Elgin, Tom-
mye Joe Gabbert of Balinger
and Diane Garret of Linden.
After a wedding trip to
tte Coast the happy couple
will be at home in College
Station where both will at-
tend Texas A&M University.
REHEARSAL DINNER
Mr. and Mrs. Jasper
Koontz were hosts for a re-
hearsal dinner honoring the
bridal party and guests at the
Hermann Sons Steak House.
At this time the bride and
groom presented gifts to their
attendants.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Muennink and daughter, Les-
ley, recently attended the
Texas State Florists Conven-
tion. They saw a preview of
new merctiandise and sup-
plies as well as an exciting
school of new designs for the
coming seasons.
Lesley was one of four
young ladies chosen to serve
as a page for the convention.
She worked with prominent
florists from all over the U-
nited States who were on the
design panel.

cil of Camp Fire Girls, Inc.
lias organized eight groups of
Blue Birds and Camp Fire
Girls in Hondo and Castro-
ville.
Three more groups are in
the process of being organ-
ized but need leaders. Those
groups needing leaders and
assistants are the First Year
Camp Fire Girls in Hondo,
and the Second Year Blue
Birds and the Second Year
Camp Fire Girls in Castro-
ville. Anyone who is inter-
ested in helping these girls
as leaden, please contact
Mrs. Ward Pope in Hondo,

Two groups of First Year
Blue Birds will meet Tuesday,
September 12, at leader's
homes in Hondo.
Group 1 leader is Mrs.
Larry Oe finger, assistant
leader is Jo Beth Taylor, and

deburg and Mrs. Milton Ditt-
mar.
Group 2 leader is Mrs.

ber 14, at the First Methodist

Min Kathy Graff, bride-
elect of Steve Frank Billiot,
was honored with a miscel-
laneous shower-tea August 11,
in the home of Mrs. Fred
Graff.
Receiving the guests were
Mrs, Fred Graff; the honoree;
her mother, Mrs. R. J. Graff
and the groom's mother, Mrs.
Frank Billiot. The guests
were registered by Miss Cin-
dy Schuehle.
The serving table was
laid with an ecru handmade
crocheted cloth, with an ar-
rangement of yellow chrysan-
themums for the centerpiece.

The family of Friedrich
L. and Antjia Aden Boehle
met at the Quihi Gun Club
Sunday, August 21, for their
reunion.
A picnic lunch was served
at noon to approximately 10
guests.
The guests included the
descendants of Louisa Kurka,
Minna Graff, Johanna Saat-
hoff, Emil, Willie, George
and Henry Boehle (all de-
ceased).
Guests came from Dun-
lay, Hondo, San Antonio,
New Braunfels, Helotes, Se-
guin, Pipe Creek, Rio Me-
dina, Bandera and Victoria.
This was the first reunion
of the Boehle family and all
hope they can meet again
next year.

Pedrozas return
from eastern vocation
Mr. and Mrs. G. E. (tete)
Pedroza and Reggie flew to
New York August 5 to visit
their son and brother, Greg,
and his family, who live in
Appalachin.
They drove through Penn-
sylvania to Virginia and Ma-
ryland and spent two days in
Washington, D.C.
While in Washington, the
Ffedrozas were able to visit
the White House, the Mu-
seum of Natural History, the
Bureau of Engraving and
FYinting and the Art Gallery.
They were also visitors
at tlie Washington Cathedral,
the National Shrine of the
Immaculate Conception, die
houre where Kennedy lived
before liis election as Presi-
dent, his grave at Arlington

While visiting in Mary-
land, the Pedrozas visited
Mr. and Mrs. Ernesto Balan-
zuela, both from Hondo,
now living there; and in Vir-
ginia, they visited Mr. and
Mrs. Cresencio Arcos, Jr.,
who work in the District of
Columbia.
After returning to New
York tliey drove to Canada,
visited the Niagra Fails and *
their beautiful gardens.
After ten days in New
York, they flew to New Or-
leans to visit their daughter
and son-in-law, Major Nich-
olas Barron, linda and Nick.
In Baton Rouge, they vis-
ited several places, including
an old railroad depot which,
donated to the City of Baton
Rouge by tte railroad is now
a m lseum.
At the museum, there is
a dining car complete with
kitchen and tables, parked
, next to tte building.
Tte Pedrozas also visited
New Orleans and Gulfport,
and Biloxi, Mississippi where
they spent a day on the beach
of the Gulf of Mexico.
Tte family returned from
their journey to good old
Hondo on tte 18th of August.
