celebrating their 20th
anniversary on March 30th.
Newly crowned, 1999 Lions Queen, Miss Cori Ytuarte, a junior at
Harper High School. On the right is outgoing Queen, Miss Danielle
Stehling, now a senior at Harper. Danielle served the club very well
during her year, riding the float with fellow Queens, Kyra Cottle and
Kacey Meeks.
Danielle was very active in school also, serving as FFA President,
participating in stock shows and judging teams, as well as numerous
other clubs and activities. She is also active in St. Anthony's
Catholic Church and it's Youth Group. She is the Granddaughter of
Reginald and Elizabeth McDougall and Verena Stehling. Her
parents are David and Marilyn Stehling. Chosen as alternate for the
Queen was Miss Ashley Bateman, also a junior at Harper High, but
not available for the picture.

The Harper 4-H Sewing Class will have a style show on Tuesday,
March 30, 1999, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church
Parish Hall. The public is welcomed to come and watch them
model garments they have sewn.
They will compete in the County 4-H Fashion Show on Thursday,
April 8, 1999, at Fredericksburg.
We are also selling raffle tickets for the Ty Millennium Bear Beanie
Baby. Drawing will be on March 30, 1999.
