JlF YOU Lad to order your day’s supply of
electricity fresh every morning,
you’d appreciate even more how little it
costs and how much it does for you.
Actually, about two-thirds of all American
families light their homes and run
radios, cleaners, toasters, percolators, clocks
and washers for a dime a day — or less!
What’s more, that dime buys just about f;T
twice as much electricity for the average
family as it did 10 to 15 years ago!
These bargains don’t just happen.
They come from the c’ zctxic industry’s
constant effort to give you good service
at low rates. They are made possible by
practical, efficient business management.
That’s the American way — and it works!
It works so well that even though
America is pouring record-breaking
amounts of electric power
into the world’s greatest production
of planes, tanks, ships and
guns —| you still get low-cost
current at the flick of a
switch in your home!

Raybur
To the Voters of the
Fourth Congressional District:
JET’S SHOW OUR APPRECIATION of Sam
Rayburn’s leadership and service by giving
him the biggest vote he has ever received.
The people of the Fourth District have a right
to be proud, for our own Sam Rayburn is the
Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, a position that
carries responsibility and honor second only to the Presidency. He is
Franklin D. Roosevelt’s right arm in Congress. Our President and his
fellow-members of Congress have shown their confidence in him, so let
his constituents show how they feel about him by giving him on Saturday
next his usual overwhelming VOTE OF CONFIDENCE.
In these dark days, let us remember that it was Sam Rayburn who
sawr the threatened peril. He led the fight for the President’s defense
program.
Sam Rayburn has the greatest peace-time record of achievement of
any man in Congress. He is responsible for the rural electrification pro-
. gram that brought the conveniences of electricity to our farms and homes,
wiote the laws that stopped the stock market manipulator from getting
rich at the expense of the average man. He has led the fight to better living
conditions of the farmers and workers of Texas and the nation. Under his
dnecdon as leader and as Speaker, the great farm benefit program has
been achieved. Through his efforts the Denison Dam has been built, and
many oilier \aluahle assets have been created in our section. But Sam
Rayburn can be proudest of his fight under the leadership of President
Roosevelt to help prepare our country to meet its enemies.
Against the opposition of the Republican Party and of the Roosevelt
haters, Sam Rayburn fought, for planes and ships, for guns and tanks, and
without his effort we would have been poorly prepared indeed to face our
treacherous foes.
£©# us ail go vote for SAM RAYBURN and show
©sir genuine appreciation of his timely service.
