TLC Varsity Golf Team Blasts Trinity U
Coach Theos Morck’s first Var-
sity Golf Team battled a strong
Trinity University Golf sextet and
an equally strong south wind to
win their first match of the sea-
son 6-3. Points were garnered by
Harrel Brau who edged R. Erfurth
3 and 1; A1 Schmidt, who. defeated
H. Saslavsky 3 and 2; Landa
Sehraub who took L. Kaufman 5
and 3; and Joe Vetter who de-
feated Fagg 4 and 2. Trinity’s R.
Naylor beat Sammie Terry 1-up
on 18 holes; and Meader trounced
Ward Crockard of TLC 7 and 5.
Playing their best ball, Brau and
Terry bested Erfurth and Naylor
1-up on 21 holes; Schmidt and

Sehraub beat Saslavsky and Kauf-
man 4 and 3; and Vetter and
Crockard lost to Meader and Fagg
4 and 3.
The boys from San Antonio
were visibly harried by the March
wind and a strange course, but it
is generally believed that the TLC
club wielders will duplicate last
Wednesday’s win over the Trinity
golfers when they meet in a return
match on the Brackenridge Course
sometime in April.
Sidelight* on the Golf Match
Sammie Terry, whose putter
blew hot and cold all day, shot a
good score of 80. His opponent,
Naylor, shot an 81.
Best remark of the day came
from two coeds who followed in
the gallery, “Wonder if this will
count on our P. T.?”
Crockard, Sehraub, and Terry,
all of TLC, had a birdie on No. 6
hole.
Mr. Morck gave each player a
new ball to start the match. Jo:
Vetter calmly plunked his into the
lake on No. 2 hole.
We noticed a number of stu-
dents in the gallery who were in-
terested in golf but didn’t under-
stand the golf lingo. For the best
available information, I refer you
to Harrel Brau.

2, Greif 22, Roth 3, Zimmerman 2,
