Kelsey was born in Paris
on May 20, 2003. She was a
student at Deport Elemen-
tary School.
Surviving is her mother,

her father, David Parks of

served in the U. S. National
Guard. Thomas’ career with

fore his retirement. He
served eighteen years on the
Blossom City Council.

were his parents and four
sisters, Carol, Judy, Frances
& Zella.
Survivors include his

whom he married on Aug.
29, 1963, building forty-

Wilma Jane Malone, 83,
of Paris, passed away Fri-
day, May 24, 2013, at her
home while surrounded by
loving family members.
Services were scheduled
for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May
28th, at Bright-Holland Fu-
neral Home with Duane
Hamil & Ronnie Baker of-
ficiating. Burial followed in
Union Cemetery at
Taylortown.
Mrs. Malone, the daugh-
ter of Walter & Gladys Tay-
lor McFadden, was born
March 28, 1930, in Lamar
County. She married
Charles E. “Shorty” Malone
on July 11,1947, and he pre-
ceded her in death on July
7, 2005. She was also pre-
ceded in death by a son,
Rickey Malone and a grand-
daughter, Kristin Malone.
Her career at Hollywood
Vasarette spanned ten years
before beginning work at
Earthgrains where she
worked eighteen years be-
fore her retirement. Jane had
a strong work ethic. She was
a wonderful wife, mother,
grandmother, great grand-
mother and great great
grandmother who always
took loving care of her fam-
ily. She was a member of
The Cowboy Church.

"Dick" Goodman
dies May 23rd
James Richard “Dick”
Goodman, 61, was born in
Clarksville, TX, on March
29th, 1952, to James Ellis
and Dixie Peek Goodman.
He passed away Thursday,
May 23rd at Hospice of East
Texas in Tyler.
He graduated from
Stephen F. Austin in 1974,
with a Bachelors of Business
Administration degree. He
returned to Clarksville in
1977, where he joined his
father at Goodman Insurance
Agency, which he owned and
operated until retirement in
2010. Dick was an active
member of McKenzie Me-
morial United Methodist
Church and then Lake Fork
Baptist Church in Alba.
One of his passions was
that of community service to
which he dedicated much of
his life and was the recipient
of numerous community ser-
vice and citizenship awards.
He was an active member of
the Clarksville Rotary Club
for many years. Dick’s life
was dedicated to the service
of his family, home, church
and community.
Dick was preceded in
death by his parents James
Ellis Goodman and Dixie
Goodman, step-mother Mary
Goodman, and aunt Bonnie
Jo Huddleston.
Survivors include his wife,
Karen Goodman, two sons;
James Kirk Goodman of
Tyler and Jeff Goodman and
wife Dusty Goodman of Mt
Vernon; and one grand
daughter, Madeline
Goodman.

Earl was born on Janu-
ary 13, 1938 in the Glen-
dale Community of Red
River County, the son of
Willie Norris and Goldie
Mantooth Gresham. He
began working in the Cot-
ton Gin on the Suction
when he was 16 as well as
hauling grain and hay for
many in this area. He then
worked in every company
position in several different
gins until advancing into
the owner-operator of the
Blackland Prairie Gin,
which was passed to his
son, Randy in 2002 due to
Health Problems. Earl has
worked at Cotton Gins in
Lovington and Prairieview,
New Mexico; Slaton and
Red Spring, Texas. Earl
was a member of the De-
port Masonic Lodge where
he was a Master Mason,
being a member of the De-
port Masonic Lodge #381
A.F. & A.M. since 1979.
He was also a retired Bail
Bondsman.
He was preceded in
death by his parents; twin
siblings, Millie Gresham
Kyle and Melvin Ray
Gresham; and his son,
Randy Gresham in June,
2004.
He is survived by his
caregiver and spouse of 55
years, Nancy Gresham of
Deport; a daughter, Julia
Grossmann of the home;
sister, Alline Cagle of
Texarkana; two grand-
daughters, Lacey Michelle
Gregg and husband,
Donnie and Melody
Gresham; three great-
grandchildren, Alexis
Perkins, Olivia and Carson
Gregg all of Antlers, Okla-
homa.
