Many object to the test. I am a
= Democrat—keeps many independ-
ent voters as well as the progress-
|j ive Republicans and a great ma-
M jority of them are prohibitionists.
™ What does the word Democracy
mean anyhow? does it mean the
' /will of the majority shall be th£
law for all? or, equal rights to
all and special privileges to none ? j
To illustrate there are four out;
for governor; if Ferguson or any:
jof the rest only gets one-third of.
the votes cast, the same being a
plurality, he will be the nominee
_ and you can vote for him or stay
at home. Now, to my mind the
by two out of the four receiving the
iO,- greatest number of votes should
v,a_!be voted on again, then the ma-
jority of your party would rule.

Overwork, worry, weakness after sick-
ness, catarrh, bronchitis, tender throats—
all exert the weakening influence that
invites consumption.
To guard against consumpthm, thou-
sands of people take Scott’s Emulsion after
meals because its rich medicinal nourish-
