6/28-Al 11:25 a.m., Seminole
police investigated a two-vehicle
accident at the intersection Of
Southwest Avenue F and Southwest
2nd Street.
Investigators said a 1994
Chevrolet pickup, driven by
Rosemary Sanchez, 32, of 406 SW
16th Street, was headed east on
Avenue F and met a vehicle headed
west.
She said when she noticed
another vehicle behind the first one
turning left, she was unable to avoid
hitting that vehicle, a 1990 Dodge
Ram pickup, driven by John Echols,
Jr., 39. of 501 SW 17th Street.

to University Medical Center in

"THE BOYS NEXT DOOR"
BROWNFIELD-Brownficld Community Theatre is proud to announce
it's summer performance of ’The Boys Next Door", by Tom Griffin.
This poignant story of four mentally challenged men gives us a close
look at how society views die mentally handicapped, but more importantly,
the way they see themselves. The escapades of "The Boys Next Door"
are sure to make you laugh and cry, all in one evening.
Performances will be held at Brownfield Intermediate School on July
7th, 8th and again on July 13th, 14th, and 15th. Showtime is at 8:00 p.m.

FORT STOCKTON-It’s time again for the Fort Stockton 1995 Water
Carnival. The carnival is unique in it’s swimming acts, dancing and acting.
The Water Carnival will be held at the Comanche Springs Swimming
Pool on July 13,14 and 15. The Theme this year will be "Oh What a Night!"
written and directed by Leonard Ledford II. This story is about the ending
. of adolescence and beginning of adulthood. The music selections range

Crime Line Rewards
Crime Line is currently offering a reward for information leading
to arrests and recovery of merchandise in connection with a scries of
bam burglaries in Gaines County.
Crime Line is currently offering a reward in connection with a fire
at two cotton modules eight miles sou h of Tcn-Hi Gin on County
Road 121 on Nov. 6.
Arson was believed the cause of the fire, which destroyed the two
modules, valued at S3,(XX) each.
In addition to the Crime Line Reward, the owners of the two
modules have offered a $2,000 reward.
An extra reward, in addition to a Crime Line stipend, is currently
being offered by Marine Automated Systems in connection with the
theft of a positioning system 10 miles west of Seminole on Feb. 17.
The systchi is valued at $25,000. The extra reward is being offered
for the return of the unit-no questions asked.
Crime Line is currently offering a reward in connection with a
robbery in the parking lot of Wal-Mart the night of Dec. 16.
The victim said a man approached her beside her vehicle, which
was parked on the cast side of Wal-Mart. She said he then grabbed
her purse, which she had on her arm. As he grabbed the purse, the
victim was knocked dowq. The suspect then ran from the scene,
heading cast from the parking lot. The woman’s purse, billfold and
an undetermined amount of currency were taken.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5 ft. 5 in. to 5 ft. 7 in.
tall. 160 pounds, with collar-length black hair. He was wearing dark-
colored clothing.
Crime Line is currently offering a reward in connection with the
theft of a radio from a tractor at a location two miles south of
Scagraves on County Road 109 during the evening of Feb. 3 or the
early morning hours of Feb. 4. Sheriff’s investigator said the radio is
a factory John Deere AM-FM, gray in color.
In addition to the regular Crime Line reward, llie owner of the
radio is offering a S300 reward for the arrest and conviction of the
person or persons responsible.
Crime Line will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading
to the arrest and/or indictment of the person or persons responsible
for committing an offense.
Good information needs to be offered, but the persons offering the
information do not have to identify themselves.
