She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Baron and Stephanie Hallford of Rockwall and Jim and Yolanda Canant
of Houston; daughter, Jammie Walker of Rowlett; five grandchildren, Acacia DeLoach of Alabama, Lisa Sagheri of
Conroe, Ricky Schuff of Houston, Jimmy Canant of Houston and Olivia Hallford of Rockwall; five great-grandchildren,
Baron and Rhein Sagheri, Kameron Rickley, and soon to be born twins Savanna and Georgia Deloach; one sister, Lee
Riddle of Abilene.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Elmer Gregory and Lela Bell Steward, and brother-in-law Curtis Riddle.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on the next anniversary of her birth, in Broken Bow, Ok.

Alyne Smithey Lance, 91, a homemaker and longtime resident of Fort Worth and Everman, passed away on Thursday,
June 28, 2007 in Abilene, Texas.
Funeral: Graveside service 2pm. Tuesday; July 3, 2007 at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth with her son-in-law,
Michael Corley officiating. Visitation: There will be family visitation prior to the graveside service from 1:00pm. to
2:00pm. at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Alyne was born on September 17, 1915 to Phil and Kate Smithey in Maypearl, Texas. She married Tolbert Lance on April
10, 1943 and they made their home in Fort Worth and Everman for the next 63 years. She was a mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, longtime member of Polytechnic Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, and
was a current member of East Meadows Baptist Church in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63
years, Tolbert Lance on January 11, 2007. For God so loved Alyne and Tolbert that he gave His only begotten Son; and
because they belived in Him, they have not perished, but now have eternal life. They will dwell in the house of our Lord
together forever. Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to Thy bosom fly. While the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is
high. Hide me, 0 my Savior, hide, Till the storm of life is past. Safe into the haven guide; 0 receive my soul at last. In
Christ, there is no good-bye, and one day we will all rejoice at our Heavenly reunion.
Survivors: Daughters, Catherine Lance Corley and husband Michael of Madison, Alabama and Jeanie Lance Heath and
husband Bruce, of Abilene, Texas; granddaughter, Lisa Corley Ward and husband Toby and great-grandchildren, Kory,
