A. ft M. was to come to Klngs-

seemingly definite and air-tight
schedule announced Just at the
end of the football season. Some-
how, in a four-way mix up with
Kite, A. ft M„ Stephen F. Austin,
and A. ft- I., it came out that A. ft
M. and Austin would tangle and
Hire would take on some other foe

The game was (he first played
here by the Javelinas since the re-
moval of John Mark Dixon to Pear-
sall. It was n slow, uninspired
team that played through two long
halves la?t night and failed to
come close to winning.
The starting lineup for Kings-
ville was McMillan. Porter, Me
Nabb, Frailer, and Doty. They
clicked fairly good at times, but
lack of height proved their undo-
ing.
The Rume teams meet tonight on
the A. ft I. gym floor In a game
tjiut should be much closer nnd
hard-fought. If it were not, It could
hardly be railed a game — merely
n ragged tussle.
McMillan scored 3 points last
night. Porter 2. Lawrence 2. Doty

and Ratuey failed to enter the
score column.
Roth pete Porter nnd Jimmie
McMillan left the game via the
personal foul route. 8 of the 14
points were made on gratis throws.

Goes In Training
The A. ft I. Tennis Squad, under
the capable coaching of A. W.
Stralton has recently been organ
l*ed. Despite the fact that some of
the Alma Mater's best "net-teas-
ers" are no longer with us. Coach

only new addition to the squad; j
however, he is a capable and tal- j

for ability at the game of racquet
wielding game are James Bram-
letto. exceptional Sophomore; Torn
Deason. two-year squadman; Del-J
mar Ross. Bishop doubles star; and ;
Jack Thomas of Victoria.
The Freshman branch of the
squad Is composed of such up and
coming tennis players as the Robs-
