ber 5 at the St Louis National stockyards
amount to ls733 cattle 11001 hogs and 5s95
sheep against 14047 cattle b325 hogs and
0S53 sheep during the previous week an in-
crease of 40i0 cattle 3170 hogs and a de-
crease of 95S sheep
Combined receipts of livestock at Chi-
cago Kansas City Omaha and St Louis
for tlio weuk ending September 5 were
130200 cattle 170500 hogs and 03900 sheep
being 10000 more cattle 25000 more hogs
and 9000 more sheep than the previous
week Compared with the corresjiondiug
week last year receipts showed an increase
of 2SO0O cattle and a decrease of 3S000 hogs
and 9000 sheep
Fourteen cars of cattle went East this
morning and every car was a sample of tho
fine cattle to be raised in this state It is to
be presumed the people up about Chicago
are hungry for beef when they sidetrack
the canncn ball to let the stock train have
