parasitic species It is usually the

The true screw worm breeds in
living animals. Geo. E. Thomp-
son, district supervisor of *crew
worm control in this area, with
headquarters at Simms, Texas,
gave a few facts about the life his-
tory oCthe screw worm fly From
10 to 400 eggs are laid on the
wound; young maggots appear in
11 to 21 hours. They immediately
burrow in the flesh and feed in
clusters, forming pockets in the
wound.
Unless the animals found and
maggots killed, these maggots
drop from the wound in 4 to 10
days and go into the ground, w here
they change into flies in 10 to ?4
days. The flies then mate and the
females are ready to lay eggs in 6
to 10 days. The total cycle re-
quires from 18 to 37 days, usually
averaging 24 days.

highest class circus in the world.”
This Russell Circus is a big show,
exhibiting in cities ranging from
ten thousand;to half a million pop-
ulation and rarely in towns of les-
ser population. A circus tent
crowded for one performance .does
not meet the expense of a show of
the magnitude of the Russell Bros.
Circus The high pay roll of the
performance makes it necessary
for such shows to go where there
is population, so they pirn to ex-
hibit only in such spots where
they have a chance to get two big
crowds.

It is well known that sudden chilling of the body after over-
heating will often cause sneezing, watery secretions or nasal
obstruction. Of this, there can be no doubt from die experience
of generations of people everywhere. Any sudden change in
bodily temperature during winter months such as going from
a warm room into a cold one disturbs the heat regulating
Apparatus of the body and lowers your defense against the
insidious attack of the cold germ.
If you heat only one or two rooms ... if you "huddle” in these
warm rooms while the rest of the house remains cold, sudden
Indoor temperature changes are unavoidable. It's good health
insurance as well as good advice to provide adequate heat and
a proper circulation of pure warm air in every room of your
home during the coming winter months.
