sick the position.
I was born and raised in Hod River County and
am now 34 years old. I have no political ties or obli-
gations to any individual or group that would affect
the administration of the office in any way.
After attending public schools in Rod River County
I graduated from East Texas State University, receiv-
ing a BBA degree in Business Administration. Courses
which I completed while there include economics,
accounting and business law.
Eater I did graduate work at the University of
Texas whore I studied marketing, personnel manage-
mu.t. accounting and management.
Since finishing college I have earned a living in
the farming, ranching and contracting business in Red
River County and as a local property owner and busi-
ness man I am acutely aware of the problems of our
county.
I feel that my educational preparation, plus sev-
er;:! years of actual experience in business have given
me the necessary background to handle capably the
business ami financial affairs of the county.
The present judge has been in office twelve years.
Not only do I feel that this is too long for one man to
serve in public office but also that improvements can
be made in many of the various functions overseen
by the County Judge.
As times change the inclusion of new ideas and
policies will be necessary for the County to be oper-
ated at peak efficiency and perhaps regain some of
its lost business and population. I am young and
energetic and will heartily promote the growth and
welfare of our county at all times.
I humbly solicit your serious consideration and
sincerely hope and ask that you will elect me your
next County Judge.
