Crystal Nicole Bell of Bogata and
John Wesley Davidson of Bogata
were united in marriage in a double
ring ceremony on February 5,2000 at
six o'clock in the evening at the First
Baptist Church in Bogata. Bro. Ronny
Ross performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Regan
and RueAnna Bell. She is the grand-
daughter of Edgar and Charline Slaton
of Quitman and Lawrence and Reba
Bell of Clarksville. She is the great
granddaughter of Lucy Slaton of
Clarksville and Mr. and Mrs. W.J.
lillerofOdessa.Sheisa 1996gradu-
jte of Rivercrest High School and is
currently attending Texas A & M at
Commerce.
The groom is the son of Donald
and Shirley Davidson of Bogata. He
is the grandson of Meddie T ay lor and
Jessie and Faye Stringer all ofClarks-
ville. He is a 1996 graduate of River-
crest High School and a graduate of
Northeast Texas Academy. He is cur-
rently employed by the Bogata Po-
lice Department and will be employed
at Texas A & M Commerce Police
Department.
The wedding music was performed
by Linda Moore of Clarksville. The
bride was escorted to the altar by her
father, Regan Bell and given in mar-
riage by her parents. Her dress was an
elegant design with a double V neck
bodice and scalloped short sleeves
accented with pearls. The full satin
skirt flowed with a 6 ft. train. It over-
laid organza with a wide band
trimmed of satin which surrounded
the dress and tram. Her veil was cre-
ated by Zonetta Fulbright and con
sisted of a rose and pearl satin band
with shoulder length tulle. She wore
mother of pearl drop earrings and
necklace. She carried a bouquet of
red and white roses interwoven with
babies breath and English Ivy and
Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Davidson
accented with red and white ribbons.
While the guest were being seated
Denny Whitley, uncle of the bride,
played the saxophone. Prior to the
entrance of the wedding party a slide
show was shown featuring pictures
of the bride and groom as babies and
up to their engagement day. During
the show the song "I Knew I Loved
You Before I Met You" was played
During the entrance of the atten-
dants Denny Whitley played "The
Rose” on the saxophone. While the
couple lighted the Unity candle Rick
Holeman sang "Household of Faith".
The bride's grandfather, Edgar A.
Slaton, gave a prayer of blessing prior
to the exchanging of the vows.
Attending the bride as matron of
honor was her sister, LaTonya Miller
of Bogata. Bridesmaids were Mandy
Mabry ofSulphur Springs, Carol Kay
Hilliard of Paris, Jamie Ward and
Marla Ballard of Bogata. LaCona
Slaton served as junior bridesmaid.
They were attired in red satin, short
sleeved dresses with a matching red
chiffon scarf. Each carried a small
bouquet of red and white roses
trimmed with red and white ribbons.
Attending the groom as best man
was Paul Strunc of Bonham. Grooms-
men were the groom’s brothers, Scott
Davidson, Jeff Davidson and Alex
Davidson all of Bogata, Justin
Townes and the bride's brother, Bran-
don Bell also of Bogata.
Serving as flower girls were Emily
Worthington of Longview and Randa
Riddle of Dallas cousins of the bride.
Hana Riddle of Dallas, cousin of the
bride carried the 6 ft. train behind the
bride. Ring bearer was a cousin to the
groom, Michael Strunc of Clarks-
ville.
Serving as ushers were Josh
Belcher, Jarred Miller, Ryan Ballard
and Chade Eudy. Nelda Screws
served as the wedding coordinator,
Michelle Williams, cousin of the
bride, decorated the chapel using red
and white tulle with red bows. The
center held a heart shaped candelabra
with 20 candles. There were two can-
delabras holding 14 candles each on
either side of the heart shaped center,
English Ivy was twined with red and
white tulle and red bows on each
candelabra. The church windows each
held candles decorated with red and
white ribbon.
A reception was held in the church
fellowship hall following the cer-
emony. Friends, Julie Childres, Vir-
ginia Hilliard and Jean Upchurch
coordip^tpd the decorations for the
reception area. House party mem-
bers were Paula Stahsbury, Melody
Wallace, Brandie McGee, Julie Wat-
kins and Haley Griffin.
The bride's table held a 3 tier heart
shaped wedding cake, champagne
punch and mints and was decorated
with red ribbon and greenery. The
cake was made by the bride's mother,
RueAnna Bell.
The groom's table featured differ-
ent flavors of cheese cakes staggered
in a cloud of red and white tulle.
Baklava cookies and mints were
served with coffee in a silver setting.
Upon leaving the church guest were
handed birdseed and red and white
helium balloons to shower the couple
with and release as they left for their
honeymoon. Following the wedding
trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas the
couple have made their home in
Rugby.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by
the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Davidson, on Friday, Febru-
ary 4. The meal was a catered barbe-
cue. 81 wedding party members and
guest were served.

Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ray Walters are
proud to announce the upcoming
marriage of their daughter, Loyce
Evelynn “Buffy” Walters to Bobby
Lee Milligan.
The wedding will take place on
March 25 at Calvary United Meth-
odist Church on the corner of 33rd
St. and Lamar Avenue in Paris at 6:30
in the evening.
They are registered at Traditions
Outlet and Wal-Mart in Paris.
Friends and familiy are invited to
attend. A reception will follow the
ceremony.
