In an enthusiastic Mass Meet-
ing at Telephone, a large atten-
dance was present considering
the nature of the weather. Mr.
Pearl McGrady served as tem-
porary chairman. Mr. O. R.
Mitchell was elected permanent
chairman and D. H. Morris sec-
retary.
The object of the meeting was
to secure the co-operatipn of
the other voting boxes in this
end of the district in putting
forth two candidates for good
roads commissioner to represent
the interest of this end of the
district.
This made it necessary, we
think, by the profussion of can-
didates that were inthe race the
last election. We feel that we are
entitled to two representatives
and if we don’t cor.,e togethe •*
and endorse some suitable men
that will meet the' approval of
the other parts of +he district
di well as our own ve shall n >c
expect represen tat.oh..
Therefore by a ^notion that
was unanimously cai ied we ask
McRae, Ivanhoe .Lamasco, and
Danner to have similar meeting
and elect two delegates from
e.a h place to me-?* with the two
elected by us at McRae not later
than 2 o’clock Feb. 25. It shall
Le the duty of these delegates
to nominate two candidates for
g- od road commi ssioner.
