A bill l Sen. George Parkhouse
for adjudii'tion of water rights has
passed the Senate and is being con-
sidered by he House Conservation and
Reclamatio Committee.
As thing: stand now, rights to use
more river water than actually exists
are claime by Texans. Some have
used them. Some have not.
Parkhousis bill would set up a pro-
cedure for those who claim water
rights to ile their claims. Hearings
will be hel. in each river basin. Then
the Texas Water Rights Commission
will decide who really is entitled to
the water
Seniors Entertained
The Women’s Society of Chris-
tian Service of the First Metho-
dist Church, Rule, hosted their
annual Easter tea breakfast
honoring the seniors, their par-
ents, and the high school faculty
on Monday morning, March 20,
at 7:30 a. m. in the church ban-
quet room.
The banquet room was dec-
orated in the Easter theme.
Those participating on the
program were: Connor Horton
Mrs. Lynn Martin, Rev. Manuel
Reynolds. Mrs. J. N. Cornelius,
Lynda Matysiak, Mrs. Tom
Hutch and Mr. Tom Kutch.
Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Fouts, Jr.
and family of Lubbock visited
relatives in Rule over the week-
end. .
Miss Jackie Eason visited her
parents in Coleman over the
weekend.
Mr and Mrs. Clyde Martin
of ePtersburg visited her par-
ants, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Lewis
over the weekened.

attended Mothers’ Day at Texat
University over the weekend.
8th Graders Entertained
I “Springtime” was the theme
of the eighth grade banquet on
Saturday night, March 18, in
the school cafeteria.
Mr. W. J. Wilson gave the in-
ivocation. Johnny Manske, class
president, welcomed the group.
Peggy Clark and Carol McCand-
less gave the class revelations
and Pam Pittcock gave the
class forecast. Music was furn-
ished by Mark Davis and Rob-
ert Bishop. Kent LeFevre intro
duced* the speaker, Mr. Ray
Fulenwider. Coach Bill Tibbe
gave the invocation.
Eighth grade mothers prepar-
ed the banquet and the seventh
grade girls served.
