found what 1 thought could not exist
the school carnival. Dainty lights;

have some cake raffling booths that
will be especially appealing to lone-

lazy housewives and hungry kids

several home made candy booths for
those possessing sugar or sweet-
tooth. Then there are some soda
pop carriers and places for the pur
chase of bought candy gum and pea-
nuts. Then for Wimpy lowers there is
an exalted Ijamburger joint.

The P. T. A , is so kind to back us
and they are being represented out
there by an “Eat” stand of some kind
or other. Be sure and come out jiwt
to see what they have if nothing else
I want to be sure of your attendance
in one way.
There are many maidens fair ove-
town at the present time filing
tickets to the Mexican supper put on
by the press association of high
school, you will find food with a vim,
service prompt and smiling, and
everything} in the approved Mexican
style. Everything is to be quite in
the keeping with the Mexican scheme
You really should come up and try
some of it, yum, yum^

There are various and sundry
booths for the amusement of persons
and the testing of their skill in chunk-
ing and throwing and etc. There’c
the penny-chunk, which takes quite a
bit of practice and patience, the horse-
shoe ring and clothespin ihunk. A
new and novel idea.

The fish are in their glory with a
fish pond. They are paddling about
in great enjoyment, there are fishes
or prizes are both for children and
grownups. Come and try your luck.

Thrills! The newest out, the first
to be in Hebbronville of the true
authenic type. The Savage Lady
from Afica, as yei unaomesticated.
Watch your step please^ The snake
charmer makes the snake charming
creature for all their ferocity. Then
Heartthrobs, genu, the fan dance*1,
also a bodyless woman, her body is to
be severed sometime t^is week so thet
her head will be nice and fresh for
Friday. Come one and all.

The wheel of chance is very enticing
with its many nice prrzes, some of
value. There are two houses of
great interest also the Mystery
House, and the Wonder House—“well,
would you believe it! Really, believe q
or not, you’ll really miss somethin-*
if you don’t see these!

For those seeking wisdom, we have
imported one Madame Kharnice to tell
your future through palm, card Ji ad
and crystal. So, Isee you are a poor
man But alas it cannot be so you en-
joy no taxes for long, oil, one day 12
day. 13 year! You are rich! I thank!

ladies!

Tin- Bingo table will provide a whole
lot of entertainment. The prizes will
nice, too, just see if you can win.
This is to be real occasion—Carnival
and Fiesta combined.

the specialty of business concerns all
over town will offer that product and
the lucky number of all the peopic
who guess what firm its from gets to
use it. Nice is it not?

A taxi dance is also being staged,
we provide floor and music, and just
enough light and you come and dancr.
Fair enough isn’t it? One nickel
dance! Ray! Ray!

We are sporting some new side-
walks up here. Those of the high
school are being extended down to t’ne
corner white building, as it is famil-
arly known. It is quite a help over
the sand There’s a tree overhanging
it and I’ve heard several remark it
sure did remind them of another walk
known as flirtation walk! Thanks
for it!

An extremely interesting Pan-Am-
erican program was given last Friday
A playlet and several other numbers
were rendered. The Mexican and
American National Anthems were
sung. The Mexican hat dance was
charmingly given by two pupils. Typi-
cal Mexican songs were sung by a
small group of girls. It was very °n-
joyable^
Well <>n Friday night, April 26, at
7:30 or soon thereafter, I will see
everyone of you at carnival. Remem-
ber don’t eat supper before you come.

Ix>ma Novia Has Big Jetter
In Loma Ntr.ia Field of Duval coun-
ty Blanco Oil Co. No. 1 Ruiz, on the
Ruiz tract of Survey 73, was complet-
ed at 2.716 feet jetting 16 barrels of
oil per hour through a three-quarters
inch choke.
