Description: Photograph of the Palace of the Governor in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is a long, single-story building with a shaded walkway along the street. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph reads, "The old Palace of the Governor, oldest Govt. Bldg. in U.S. Built about 1600, occupied by all Governors up to 1890. In this bldg. Gov. Lew Wallace wrote a portion of Ben Hur. This building is now the property of the American School of Archaeology - 4-27-13."
