The two-story brick building was the residence of the university president and his family. Typed note on the back of the photograph reads, “President's Home on the Hardin-Simmons University campus. Shown, standing on the porch are President and Mrs. Rupert N. Richardson. The home is located at the entrance to the campus, on Hickory and Ambler streets.”
