The message on the front of the postcard reads, "Big dance at the club Wednesday, wish you were here so we could dance our old stand by "Chili and Beans." H. H." The message on the back continues with "For the life of me, I can't guess "Who's Jack." H. H. 10-16-11." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin Washington D. C. Gunston Hall."

Description: Postcard of Santa Maria Island in the Azores, Portugal. The island has hills and mountains in the distance. On the hills are many buildings paths, and partitions, with sparse foliage. One of these partitions moves towards the foreground and is seen to be made of stone bricks dug into the ground. On the back of the card is a message from Roger Dixon to Harris Leon Kempner thanking him for his letter and discussing his delays in Dallas, Texas.
