Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Keith Healy. Healy was born in Sterling, Illinois on 23 May 1920. He signed up with the Navy as a yeoman in June 1941 and was assigned to the USS New Mexico (BB-40) serving under Lieutenant Commander Rosenthal. He spent the first few months running convoys to England then sailed through the Panama Canal to the Pacific where he served on staff for Admiral Nimitz at Pearl Harbor.
