Description: Copy of transcript for a letter from B. T. Archer to the editor of the Texas Republican, in which Archer has enclosed a copy of W. H. Wharton's letter to him dated November 28, 1835 for publication in the Texas Republican. In Wharton's letter he declines an appointment to be the Consultation Commissioner to the United States as he believes that Texas will not be able to obtain aid from the United States unless they fully declare independence from Mexico.

Description: Copy of transcript for three letters, written in December 1828, and one written in July of 1829. The first, from Stephen F. Austin, on December 9, 1828, claiming a mine he discovered. The second is from Tomas M. Duke on December 10, 1828, and the third is from Stephen F. Austin on December 13, 1828. The last, from Juan Martines and Pedro Vidaurri to Stephen F.
