Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Gerald T. Parascandolo. Parascandolo was born in Brooklyn, New York on 7 January 1925. He was drafted into the Army in August 1943. After a brief period at Fort Custer, Michigan, he was sent to Fort Hood, Texas for 16 weeks of basic training.
