Description: Letter from Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen to G. H. Ramey discussing a lodge (Lodge No. 572) that no longer desires to consolidate the eleventh and twelfth seniority districts. It is stated that the lodge does not have the authority to reverse an action taken by a referendum vote, but also calls for a vote to be retaken within said lodge. The letter also suggests the preparation of a petition if the recipient wants the concerns of the lodge to be taken into consideration.

Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Al Stremel. Stremel joined the Navy in October of 1940. Beginning in December, he served in the fire room aboard USS Enterprise (CV-6). In April of 1942, they escorted USS Hornet (CV-8) on the Doolittle Raid.
