Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Felix Burrus. Burrus joined the Army Air Forces in August of 1944. He completed Airplane Mechanics School, and served as a B-29 mechanic with the 5th Bomb Group, 313th Bomb Wing. In early 1945, Burrus was assigned to Clark Field in the Philippines, where he worked through the end of the war. He received his discharge in November of 1946.

Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with John W. Lee. Lee was born in San Antonio 22 July 1925 into a family of five boys and three girls. He dropped out of school in the tenth grade and joined the Navy in 1942. After attending boot camp in San Diego for six weeks, he went to Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Sperry (AS-12). They sailed to Brisbane, Australia and after the ships arrival he was transferred off the Sperry and was assigned as a dock guard for the Navy docks… more
