FORNEY FIRE 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1
Fire destroys the Carpet Foam Manufacturing Company
at Forney, a small Kaufman County town 21 miles
East of Dallas, The building and its contents,
including some expensive manhinery, is a total
loss. The fire burns out a two-story brick
building and spreads to stacks of foam rubber
outside. The fire started about 7:30 this
morning. Fifty-five employes had just come on the

job. All escaped t injury.

to contain the blaze. Stacks of rubber areexpected to smoulder for several days. This

the second major fire at the plant. In March of
1965, fire did 40-thousand dollars damage.w
