VF N. Ray Maxie, District VIII was unable to attend but Sr. V.P.
Billy Hightower gave his report. Compatriot Maxie stated that he
had been in communication with the chapters in his District.
VP Clell Sechrest, District IX, filed his report that He attended
a meeting with the Brownsville Chapter and with the Corpus Christi
Chapter.
Secretary Treasurer Joe Hill reported on his activities as
Secretary and Delegate to the South Central District Meeting and
the National Congress. He issued the Quarterly Financial statement
to the board Members and gave a report on the new requiremnent for
having a bond. As two members must sign checks he moved that we
pass a resolution that Clovis Bra[:ebill be added to the name of
signatures on the c;tecking account. The motion was seconded and the
motion carried.
Organizing Secretary Frank Watkins filed his report in which he
stated the organizing of the Big Country chapter.
Historian Bob Winston filed a report and requested that they keep
him posted as to the chapter activities.
Registrar James York was unable to attend and sent his regrets.
Chaplain Ralph Smith spoke on his activities as Chaplain , giving
the Bendiction at Memorial Day Sevrvice and has sent 19 letters of
condolances to the family of the Compatriots who have passed away.
Genealogist Joe Clark was unable to attend.
Chancellor Madison Wright stated there were no legal queston
presented to him since the Annual meeting.
President Morgan stated the names of the Compatriots who will
serve as Trustees of the Life Membership Program: Compatriots
Brandau- 5 years, Brakebill- 4 years, Eddleman 3 years, Griffin 2
years, and Crymes 1 year.
Compatriot Brandau announced that we had $42,00 in th fund and 77
members in the program. He stated the life membership was in good
shape although we have many younger members in the program. He
urged the Board Members to tell the beniits to the members and
the Society at each chance they have.
President Morgan introduced Compatriot Tom Bresnehen as the New
Chairman of the Patriot Fund Trustees. Chairman Breshnehen
announced that Compatriot David Peterson was elated Vice Chairman
of the Patrjiot Fund Trustees.
Compatriot Kidwell spoke on the Patriot Medal and announced that he
had notices sent to each Chapter Fresident requesting - miations
for the Patriots Medal and( urged members of the Board to send
