excessively. Defense attorney Randall Riley said Mrs.
Cowen will live with her mother in Rhome, Texas. A
second assault-to-murder charge will remain pending
against Mrs. Cowen. That was filed on January 15th
of this year, when a .38-caliber bullet was fired into
Cowen' s apartment.
The 47-year-old woman allegedly admitted firing the
gun, after her daughter --who was alone in the apart-
ment --refused to let her in. She is free on one-
thousand-dollars bond on the second charge.###
