Today is Veterans' Day-- the anniversary
of the end of The World War in 1918.
The observance began a year later when
President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed November
11th as Armistice Day. Congress laterchanged the name to Veterans' Day. %%%%%%%%%%%
Observances this dear were especially
prevalent in Da las Schools. Channel 5b
Cary Simms attended a ceremony at Pinkston
High School.
