A few times Curtin pauses his monologue while footage of pageant highlights are projected on the screen behind him. Curtin talks about his work as a "charity girl" (drag queen who raises money) and his work as a TCC (Turtle Creek Chorale) Angel, assisting those who contracted AIDS in the early 1990s. Curtin discusses the stigmas and prejudices he witnessed against those ill with HIV/AIDS when he visited AIDS patients in Dallas hospitals. Curtin's husband, Jack Bliss, is remembered. A video parody of the "Mary Tyler Moore Show" opening credits is shown, with Edna Jean Robinson walking through downtown Dallas.
