Edwin T. Phillips, general counsel of the Tarrant County crime
commission says the commission should sponsor a study designed to speed
up the prosecution of criminals in area courts.
Phillips told the groups board of directors that judges and
the district attorneys office would co-operate in the study. The
attorney said the study would try to determine steps which could be
taken to prevent cases from piling up on court dockets.
The Crime Commission appointed a committee to plan the study.
