" Old Business
o The recognition award to one or more members of the Mansfield Public Safety
Department has been tabled until the first quarter of next year. The person that was
selected by Mansfield PSD to receive the award has resigned, and there will be a new
selection next year.
o President Anderson has prepared a display which will be in December at the Lake
Arlington branch of the Arlington Public Libraries. It has a display cases to
accommodate the exhibit.
" New Business
o New Officer Nominations - President Anderson ask for a volunteer to chair the
nominating committee. Subsequent to adjournment Compatriot Robert Pope volunteered
and was appointed. Roger Wehr (current Vice President) is probable as the next chapter
President, but all other offices will have to be filled. The role of the Nominations
Committee chairman is to assist the next chapter president align the next slate of officers.
The slate should be presented in Jan., voted upon in Feb. after seeking nominations from
the floor. The resulting officers elect should be inducted in Mar.
o President Anderson also proposed a new committee position for Newsletter Editor.
XI. October/November Birthdays - Compatriots with birthdays during the months of October and
November were recognized by President Anderson.
