ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Benita Arterberry of Mesquite, Texas is a very successful jingle singer who
has worked for Nestle, Wendy's, Coca Cola, Chevrolet, Pizza Inn, Yellow
Cab Company and Cadillac. Benita burst to national prominence after
- appearing on "Star Search" where she won a recording contract with
Jltrax. SBK Records. Under this company. the single from the album
Changed" was number one on the singles chart and number three on the
um chart. She toured extensively for three years with Johnnie Taylor's band and has worked
h Sandi Patti and Harry Connick, Jr. Recently, Benita's vocal prowess has been evident on
themes and soundtracks for several movie and television features, including the sitcom
hirteen East," "Riverbend," and "Lucy & Desi, After the Laughter."
Alisa Peoples, a native of Dallas, Texas, began playing piano at age five and
began singing at age seven. She began her professional career with a mega hit
recording titled "Don't Stop The Music" under the groups name Yarbrough
and Peoples along with her husband, Cavin Yarbrough. The group appeared
on television shows such as Dick Clark's American Bandstand, Puttin ' On
the Hits, Solid Gold, and Soul Train. The group also toured with such names
James Brown, GAP Band, and Kool & the Gang. The success of the "Two of Us" album led
nominations for several awards including the Grammy and the American Music Award. For
he last three years, Alisa has reached into the world of television radio jingles with her partners
Cavin Yarbrough and Benita Arterberry). They formed the group CAB where they
collaboratively wrote and produced jingles for television. Recently, Yarbrough and Peoples have

Shelundia Cooks began singing at age eight. She was the lead vocalist of the
gospel group Shelundia Cooks and the Cookies - a group which consisted of
.. * she and her brothers. With the break up of the group, Shelundia continued
singing and performing around town, winning various talent shows. She has
sung the National Anthem at the Dallas Cowboys football game as well as at
the Spud Webb All-Star Basketball game. She won the leading role in the
musicals "Ain't Misbehavin"' and "Raisin in the Sun." Cooks has traveled with the late great
jazz artist Phyllis Hyman and Billy Preston in the musical "Blues Bar" and has recorded two
singles with Quest recording artist Sean "Barney Rubble" Thomas. Presently, Shelundia is the
lead vocalist for the jazz group Change of Pace and performs around the city with recording
artist Rodney Bowen.
Tony L. Blaine (Musical Director) began to master music at an early age. By
junior high school, he discovered a hidden talent of writing and singing lyrical
ballads and songs. It was not until his high school years that he received formal
training in music under the guidance of Ms. Carolyn Jones Campbell. His four
year study of Classical Music served to broaden his goals and enthusiasm for
music. Later, he continued his study of music at Prairie View A&M University. Tony sings,
\ rites, produces, and plays keys and bass guitar. After graduation, he played at various venues
and was recruited to tour the nation with such groups as Yarbrough & Peoples, Gap Band, and
Alexander O'Neal. He helped to form NuFlow Entertainment - a production, publishing and
management company. His talent in writing and production has him now associated with
Warner-Chappell, La 'Face Records, Ne-Trvbe and Warner Brothers Records.MUSICAL NUMBERS
