Maternity dress of red wool twill. Short sleeves; reversed turndown collar opens in back. Knee length. Dress is styled with three vertical box pleats at center front from neckline to hem; 1” belt across front above waist passes through barred buttonhole openings in the box pleats and through the side seams to button inside the dress at back with three buttons. Center back zipper closure. Back of dress lined in red polyester. Designer's label at back neckline:"Page Boy / Dallas" Size 12 tag at back hemline.

Notes

The donor worked at Neiman-Marcus on the selling floor. When she became pregnant, they purchased maternity wear for her; however, she was transferred to the offices because it was not appropriate for pregnant women to work on the sales floor. Pregnant 1962-1964.
