Tarrant County Commissioners today completely re-organized the Human Relations Commissions in the wake of criticism that it has done little to improve race relations in the counts since it was created last year. Joe Gonzales was named as the new HRC Chairman by commissioners, who also reduced the size of the panel from 17 members to 11. Another new member is James Gaskin...who made an unsucessful bid for political office last year.l Joining Gaskin and Gonzales on the revamped commission is John Burton, who was in the news last year for his criticism of the administration of the Lena Pope Home for dis-advantaged children.
