525 area high school girls today planted
the fruits of their contest-winning labors
in Fort Worth*s Trinity Park.TAKE FILM CHIP VO
The girls risked their manicures, and flirted with
low-back pain as they Iexcavated holes for some
50 flowering crab-apple trees they planted in thePark's bike-way area.
The girls won the trees
last year by gathering jim' paper some 17 thousand

TONS of it, during a contest sponsored by an
organization called "SAVE", or Seventeen Acts for

a Viable Environment. The A- paper-gathering
netted them a 4th place in SAVE's national contest,
anda a $500-dollar prize. They used the money to
buy the trees.

While some finished off the tree-planting chores,
others of the 25 began planting bluebonnets--the
