President's Cup Regatta a helping
hand this year. And, according to
Tom Milstead, chairman of the an-
nual boat racing event, "It was
highly appreciated."
The Regatta was held off Haine's
Point on the Potomac River in
K Washington, D.C. Eleven different
classes of speed boats participated
in the two-day event this year along
with the "unlimiteds" or "thunder-
boats."
Milstead said that the event drew
a record crowd of over a hundred
thousand-one of the largest in its
S51-year history.
For the past several years Nor-
man R. Hatcher, manager, store
2416 in Vienna, Virginia, has partic-
ipated in the event by supplying
Realistic walkie-talkies. This year
the Regatta committee asked
Hatcher for his help in setting up a
complete Realistic CB communi-
cation system along with a Radio
Shack crew to supervise the use of
the equipment.
The Radio Shack crew consisted
of Hatcher, his salesman Robert J.
doverlooking the Breads, and store manager Robert
(forts at the Presi- J. Parrott from Alexandria, Virginia.
Wire communica- They set up a communication net-
